Last week John Dish had his first release on our Flamingo Recordings label. His track “Karmma” is going strong on Beatport and is supported by many DJ’s included Fedde le Grand. A few questions for the DJ from Colombia.

Could you please tell us something about yourself? Where do you live and how did you become a dj/producer?
I’m a young Dj & Producer from Colombia, i’m 20 years old and i’m in the begining of my career; I became a Dj & Producer 4 years ago when I felt in love and felt passion for this world and style of life. The Project “John Dish” started 3 months ago and now I’m already supported by the top djs Fedde Le Grand, Hardwell, Deniz Koyu and many more.

You have a new release on Flamingo Recordings. Could you fill us in about how you produced this new track?
it all started when i found the perfect synth, nice voice and good drums after edited, it opened my imagination to make a different atmosphere into the track, i just hope support by the people and that they enjoy it!

Do you have any other new tracks, which will be released the next coming months?
Oh yes, I have new tunes unreleased and i will release it soon, no any date sure yet but now i can say that I’m working on big collaborations, can’t wait to share it.

If you can remix your favorite classic track, which track will it be and why?
Delerium feat. Sarah McLachlan – Silence‬, this is the track that I would like to remix, because always when I hear it, I remember when I started to learn to produce, I love it.


If you had to choose would it be DJ’ing or producing and why?
Oh, I think it’s so hard to answer, but I think for me would be to producing because every dj, radio or another site will play my tracks, they always will remember me and I got the chance to make a better connection with them.

What are your biggest and favorite tracks of the moment on the dance floor or on your playlist?
Right now I like the tracks Fedde Le Grand – RAW, Jewelz & Scott Sparks – Flashbang & Toxic Rush and Tujamo – Who.

Which producer are you most impressed by from a technical point of view?
By the technical point the producers that I impressed more can be: Tujamo, Jewelz & Scott Sparks.

About your musical influences, who has had an impact on you through the years and are there any new acts that have caught your attention recently?
My musical influences are Hardwell, Steve Angello, Tujamo and many more and the act that have caught my attention though not as recent was “Tomorrowland 2012” the gig of Hardwell and how much was played the track “Who” from Tujamo. i hope i can play soon on this big festival.


Music is obviously your passion, but is there anything else that you equally enjoy?
Yes, I enjoy very much to play soccer, I love this deport and I practice it each that I can.

Do you have any advice for upcoming producers or dj’s?
My Perfect answer always will be “Perseverance” when you have a dream and really want to fulfill it, the perfect answer is fight for your dream as long as necessary to achieve.

What’s the next thing for you to do?
The Next to do is work very hard on my career, my new tracks and several things to be each day better and better on my quality and one day I can be sponsored by any top dj like “Fedde Le Grand” who can push me to the top more faster. Also, the people can know me and enjoy my music, it’s the most important for me and what really makes me happy.
